3. Survey for officials Below is a link to an online Survey for officials to see if they plan to officiate this spring (Fall II and Spring), what type of meets (high school, college or both), what areas of eastern Mass. where plan to work, and what events you prefer not to work. It should only take a minute to two to fill out. It is for informational purposes only for MTFOA leadership and commissioner. It is separate from the availability sheet above.
4 . USATF Officials certification - 2nd Zoom opportunity
For those individuals still needing to complete their USATF officials recertification - or certify new - for 2021-2024, a second Zoom Rules Review will be presented on Sunday, March 14, 1:00-3:00 p.m. 15 MTFOA members participated in the first webinar, and respondents agreed it was well presented.
Send a request to be part of the Zoom to office+rules-review@usatfne.org by Friday, March 12, at 5:00 p.m. One should be in process of completing the USATF application and membership to sign up. The Zoom link will be sent a day or two before the presentation.
The webinar replaces the need to complete the general rules review; those at National or Masters level, or who have specialty certifications in Referee, Long Distance Running, Race Walking, and several other areas will still need to complete those specialty reviews. The step by step certification process can be found at - newengland.usatf.org/programs/officials - in the third paragraph. If anyone still needs assistance with membership renewal or other aspects of completing their certification, contact Steve Vaitones at office@usatfne.org. |
