3 highlights from membership meeting (update)

posted Mar 7, 2011 3:27 PM by Mass TFOA   [ updated Mar 28, 2011 8:06 AM ]
As MTFOA members head into Spring, three topics highlighted the March 3 membership meeting: spring assignments, the new lightweight polo shirt and a book that details differences among NFHS, NCAA USATF and IAAF rules.

As a result of discussion about spring assignments, a list of Spring 2011 league assigners or commissioners is now posted on mtfoa.com. Additions and updates gratefully accepted at trackfieldofficials.ma@gmail.com.

Equipment manager Don Kirkland III now has lightweight, Dry-FIT polo shirts in men's and women's sizes for $28 each (plus $5 shipping if he mails one to you). The shirts are MTFOA green with a gold logo. Dry-FIT is Nike's wicking technology. You can see a shirt on the Equipment page.

During a rules quiz, President Jim Wilcox mentioned a book that details the differences among NFHS, NCAA, USATF and IAAF rules. The 2011 Track & Field  Rule Book Differences can be ordered for $10 plus $2 for shipping and handling from:

USATF's Steve Vaitones sent along the 2011 order form, which you can download below, along with an update to the book from the author.
